Ithé, “here” in Marathi, is a letter of love and gratitude for Konkan, the western coastal plains of India.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Anuja, the Creative Director of Ithé, grew up visiting her family home nestled in the dense forests of the Sahyadris in Maharashtra's Konkan region.
Konkan, a long strip of coastal land along the Arabian Sea, lies against the majestic backdrop of the Western Ghats. The region is graced by salt-filled air, vivid red laterite soil, rich dense forests, undulating mountains, and torrential rains, with clouds that drift low enough to kiss the tall plateaus.
With generations before her hailing from Konkan, Anuja conceived Ithé to deepen her connection to this region in a world where cultures and biodiversity are fast disappearing. Having enjoyed a culturally rich childhood and deep ties to her ancestral land, she brings to the world what is dearest, most precious, and right here: Ithé.

The Craft
The Studio
Our ceramic facility occupies what was once the heart of our family-run business—a factory dedicated to manufacturing orthopaedic implants. This enterprise provided local employment to the neighbouring villages, from machine operators to technical designers and engineers. As the third generation, we honour this heritage by situating our studio in the very same building.
