Inspiration Plus

The Canscora Concanensis, an elusive and threatened species, finds its sanctuary in the rugged terrain of the Western Ghats, particularly within the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Known locally as kilvar due to the clover-like arrangement of its petals, this plant possesses an understated elegance, with minute flowers, each petal scarcely over a millimetre.

Certain herbs from the Canscora genus are the quintessential embodiment of the phrase "strong but fierce," with their roots and leaves locally prized for their potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Found in open grasslands, roadside verges, and woodlands, this tenacious plant blossoms from September to November.
